French Marshal of the Empire Michel Ney
Duke of Elchingen, Prince of Moskva. Nicknamed by Napoleon, "The Bravest of the Brave"
My favorite French Marshal of the Napoleonic Wars. He fought in over 36 major battles during the Napoleonic Wars, surviving all of them. After Napoleon was defeated at Waterloo, Ney was arrested tried for treason and executed. Some say he was not executed but escaped to South Carolina and lived out his life.
