Very dramatic and dynamic pose which I have absolutely loved to paint. There are many many references and old paintings of the Saint, one of which depicting him rising between the clouds in a dark night.

I felt the dramatic contrast between a blue celestial light, the white of the horse and the big red cape was the best way to represent the epic-ness of such figure.

I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed painting and interpret him.
