Here is my version of the mini-bust from FeR Miniatures, the title is Ivar the Boneless, but for me, the sculpt and the way I painted it reminded m more of Cnut. This was a lot of fun to paint! I also painted it in a short time, at least for me. I wanted to have texture and a strong light source, I hope you all like it. I can highly recommend these busts, simply coz it was quick and a lot of fun.
What I live about pieces like this. Hmmm that’s easy . I’ve always loved painting fantasy models. Along side that historicals like this are often not far off fantasy pieces that we all love. That being said I have always been drawn to both realism and naturalistic paint jobs. It’s The clear difference from “a technically well painted model” and a MODEL THAT LOOKS LIKE A REAL LIVING AND BREATHING MINIATURE ENTITY . I live earthy tones and I love desaturation as it gives that organic look to a project . This model has all that . On top of that the technical attention is outstanding. The artists knows what he’s doing even when it c on es to being easily readable and having a strong focal point.
