I found this piece really challenging, there are a lot of components and a lot of leather. I was very aware if I wasn't careful I could end up with a very brown miniature.

I wanted it to be natural but with enough variety in the tones to make it look pretty interesting. I hope you all like it.

Beautiful overall look on the model and the base. The base is really beautiful, also are your atmospheric color choices that tie together this barbarian on a sunny warm day. A solid silver from my perspective. I think the face and top of the shield emblem lacks a bit in definition. It looks very blurry. On the shield I think this could resolved with the same great detail you painted on the wood of the shield. Precise material definiation. From my eyes it is not readable of what material the emblem of the shield is made of. While the face misses precision and variations in color I see an over--definition of his muscles in the belly and back area that look very unnatural. I hope you do not see any offence in my feedback. A really nice model and a solid silver from my side!

Hey, thanks so much for the critique. You're right too the face is a mess and I should have been a little more relaxed with the muscle definition. I have no idea how to paint nom and so I always use true metallics. The shield emblem is suppose to be like a bronze/brass metal and in real life it is much more readable, but in the pictures it seems blurry, glared and washed out. Definitely things I need to improve on for the next project. Many thanks, stay safe!
