Painted 3D print of scan from part of a sculpture: Antonio Corradini (1668 – 1752) Veiled Woman (Faith?) (early to mid-1700's) Paris, Louvre. Corradini was well known for depicting illusory/wet drapery. I've always enjoyed seeing wet and translucent fabric effects in miniature art so I printed this up at around 1/12 scale as an experiment to see how it might look painted. It's unusual to see figures with the face veiled or covered like this which made it interesting to tackle. Hope you enjoy.
Thanks Archi.. I'm actually surprised it turned out as well as it did. The face is fairly flat and featureless and all of that had to be suggested by the painting. At some angles it looks odd which might be expected but over most views from the front it seems to read ok.
