Although I don't think the dappled effect is convincing, its a unique concept and an admirable effort. I feel like it shold be less hard edged, more subtly shifting shades on the skin and weapon.
I like the skintones and warpaint.
Absolutely appreciate the critique, thank you for taking the time to provide it. Hardness of edge of course will depend on distance from the cast shadow, but I agree it could have been a bit less heavy handed. The biggest issue being at project end you know a lot more than project start, and I didn't hate myself enough to circle back. So I file it under next time, when the itch comes backs around.
Thanks again.
Thanks Roman, it was a project entered in knowing full well failure was a realistic option, so feedback is always appreciated. Thanks for helping drive home where to improve next go.
Very Nice attempt at a really hard subject! Agree with the other guys…but kudos for being brave enough to give it a try! Gold for a pretty decent effort!
Thanks Alex, my personal demon is every project idea is terrifying, for one reason or another. I need to reign it in at some point, but why would I let myself be comfortable?.
The encouragement means a lot from a painter of your skill.
