Off to Pfeddersheim… — In the course of the German Peasant War (1524-1526) there was also a meeting of peasant and princely troops at the gates of Worms - the Battle of Pfeddersheim in June 1525.
The peasants in Pfeddersheim were poorly armed and outnumbered the princely Landsknecht army. In the course of the battle it came as it had to come. The peasants could not resist the superior attacker for long and were ultimately defeated.
The diorama shows a small part of the electoral army on the way to Pfeddersheim, which carries one of the many guns.
