Τhis satanic "face" makes me sick.
I prefer to paint awful (thanks God for that !) than having devil's "protection", inspiration and guidness for painting him.
I’m sorry you find him so offensive. However even the great artists (and I’m not comparing myself to them) of every period in artistic history painted depictions of the devil, demons and hell. Without one you can’t have the other. Hopefully I can’t paint something a little more angelic and to your liking next time.
Thank you Theodoros. I certainly do not go out to offend and appreciate some people may have very strong religious beliefs. Please understand though that what I have painted is an interpretation of Pedro’s sculpture that is a faun, not a devil, Satan or otherwise in his story as a sculpture. My interpretation is a Jin or Shaetan in Islamic culture (which was influenced by Christian concepts of Satan but was quite different at the time and has evolved over the last 1400 years to become more akin to Christianity’s version of Satan.) but is in no way mean to make people believe in evil things or be seduced to be satanic. I hope you can understand that this was just artistic interpretation. That is all.

Richard, I always vote in favor of your paintjobs and skills in P&P. I do not judge you as a person but the terryfing verity of his depiction.Richard Sharp
