After painting Yury Serebryakov's Landsknecht I was very keen to get hold of this sculpt. Again I used a lot of desaturated colours in the shadows, a lot of grey, but this time I decided to use flat brushes for all the painting except a few small details (eyes and hat badge), aiming for a stippled effect without blending.
