It was a great pleasure to paint this figure. I tried to keep the image of Forest Gnome that we have in our mind, one of the most touching pictures of our childhood. I also wanted to imitate the watercolor texture of the original drawing on which the character is based.
Lucas Pina is one of the most talented sculptors in modeling fantasy figures on the international scene. His mastery of three dimensions, the delicate technique and brilliant depiction of materials are linked to what, from my point of view, is his greatest virtue, the creation of characters.
