Ok! Another project bites the dust.

As some people may know, there is a challenge running over at massivevoodoo blog where people are encouraged to
repaint a figure from the game Disney Infinity. While brainstorming with a friend what I should do he was all into a repaint of Mulan. I liked the idea but later opted for another piece.

But! Since my friend turn 30 this year I decided to paint up Mulan and hand over as a gift which would be a bit more personal.

Really fun to paint and interesting to go "bananas" with freehanding since I have never done anything advanced before. Taking the leap is apperantly an important step.

Cool! Nice job, I did Ahsoka. Looking forward to seeing all the great entries :)
    • Conny "Inquizarus" Karlsson

Thanks you! Looking forward to see all the entries also, really fun to see people go outside their comfort zones!
  • Roman LappatPLUS

She is a beauty and I am happy that the event on Massive Voodoo inspired you. Even better to try something new and learn something. Looking forward to your entry then. This is not it right? As it would be disqualified by the rules as you show it up front :)

Thank you Roman (both for hosting the challenge and your comment). This is not my entry (I have sent both water and infinity in without getting confirmation. I assumed it's because your busy and all is hakuna matata :D). With my entry I went outside my comfort zone in another direction I would say. I did this only as a BD gift for my friend (which was really glad to get it :D).

    Nice job !!

Face and fan looks really cool! Good work with this figure.
    • Conny "Inquizarus" Karlsson

Thank you! :D I was sooo frustrated with the face.. Glad it paid off in the end. :) The fan.. Haha, come up as a last thing. Asked my girlfriend to help me find an easy motive, she did (a branch going over the fan) and left me be for an hour only to return to that. I could only say.. Things happened. XD
  • Petrelka

What a wonderful version of Mulan! I love your freehand going nuts on that dress and fan! I really need to get out of my comfort zone regarding this as well. ;) Your friend must have had a really happy birthday with this kind of present!
    • Conny "Inquizarus" Karlsson

Thank you. :D Yeah he was happy and quite shocked. None of us are really big on birthdays but just thought that a personal gift when a best friend turns 30 is in it's place. :)
