I really have caught the historical bug recently and see the figures with new vigour and enthusiasm. I particularly love the Celts and other "barbarian" nations but even civil war and Napoleonic subjects have not escaped my attention.

I focused on textures and metallics and tried a freehand design too, i tried to use tones of colour that represented available dyes and I wanted a base that was natural and not busy, so as to put the focus solely on the figure.
It seemed to take n age to get right and only came together towards the end. I learnt a lot and I am aware of what i did wrong that i hope to implement in the next figure.
