Painted in the first quarter of 2016. Was initially an experiment to paint the skin using only primaries (which amusingly still ended up with a green orc), and to try and play with some textures.

Lots on white lines, dots, and filters were used (including VMC Smoke for the first time for me). And the visor was mixed directly on the miniature with Golden heavy body titanium white and a blue from Vallejo (can't remember which but was great fun to do).

This bust was raffled off at Salute 2016 by the Orc's Head and all procceds were split between Help the Heroes and Poppy's Angels.
Would love to know who won. Hope they like it.

    It's a nice piece mate but I'd love to see what you can do now. There would be more blues reds and purples in the skin for starters.

      You're not wrong there. There is blue in the shadows (across all of it) and yellow in the highlight (but just on the skin). Will be interesting to attempt something with a similar plan. As in 'just these colours and try things I don't usually do' kind of thing.
