This is a conversed 80's St Bacchus mecha kit from the anime Armoured Trooper Votoms. With the kit being so bulky I decided to push in a Russian direction with the paintjob and the story for the model evolved from there.

The piece is set in a post WWII diesel punk era where the Germans won the war and have pushed the Russians North in to the depths of winter. This soldier is putting up a desperate defence close to the village's wooden church.
