This bust was a great choice for a two day private coaching I was doing with Josua.
The topic of this coaching was "painting atmosphere" and to understand more about it.
Josua is a great painter and student and we had a lot of painting joy and a really cool time together.

I did not had a plan yet on how to paint mine, I just said to Josua: You'll choose your atmosphere and I do the opposite. Turned out to be a warm sorrounding on mine with cold lights hitting everywhere, not so easy as expected, but fun. On the other hand Josua painted a cold sorrounding with warm lights hitting from one angle only. It is a brilliant piece that he did, check it out http://www.puttyandpaint.com/projects/10358here!

It is nice when you decide to do something unexpected..There is some unwritten rule that it must turn our great, as this project of yours. I like that big difference between your and your student work. I love that skin on the fire one, and as I followed the progress I had been amazed by shield all this time, next to all ^^

Yes, it was truely unexpected as I had no idea what Josua would do. Well, I learnt we miniature painters do paint cold sorroundings with warm lights much more often then the other way around. It really was a though thinking for the brain ... thank you, Aleksandra.
