About
I started in the hobby painting miniatures for Dungeons & Dragons in the early 80’s, left it in high school 1984 and came back with a vengeance in 2012. I mainly paint for myself and will occasionally sell a piece on Ebay. I started competing in miniature painting in 2013. That year, with my first serious project completed, a Games Workshop Ork Battlewagon, I got a Journeyman gold for GW vehicle at Kublacon 2013 in San Francisco and made it to the finals or “The Cabinet” at Games Day 2013 in Memphis Tennessee; probably my most appreciated award. Even though it was not a Golden Demon, being my first piece and getting that far with that kind of talent in an international competition. The medal is still really cool looking. All of my social media is done under Richter Scales Studios.
